Manchester Metropolitan University is proud to announce its new role as a Women in Games Education Ambassador, furthering its commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the gaming industry and beyond.

With a 200-year legacy of academic excellence, Manchester Met is known for fostering creativity, sustainability and an inclusive culture that champions equality and celebrates diversity. The University offers a range of innovative courses, including Games Art, Games Design and Animation at the School of Digital Arts (SODA), as well as Computer Games Development and Computer Animation and Visual Effects in the Department of Computing and Mathematics.

By joining the Women in Games Education Ambassador Programme, Manchester Met reinforces its dedication to breaking down barriers and empowering all students to thrive in the gaming industry.

Games Art Lecturer, Owen Calderbank shared his thoughts on this significant partnership:

Our three games courses – Computer Games Development, Games Design, and Games Art – work together to empower all our students, fostering inclusivity to break down barriers and create an industry enriched by diverse perspectives, innovation, and creativity.
