Jorge Walsh

Jorge Walsh is a writer and director based in Manchester, creating work for both stage and screen. His training as a filmmaker began with the BFI, followed by BA and MA Filmmaking courses at Manchester School of Art. Between 2018 and 2020, he worked alongside the Royal Exchange Theatre, serving as an assistant director on the Young Company show, We’re Just Getting Started. In his latest film, L'Amour Looks Something Like You, Walsh continues to explore relationship dynamics and contemporary city life, as well as Northern and working class identity.

When Gracie returns to Manchester for a brief summer reunion with her friends, an old crush is reawakened within Karl. Relationships, romantic and otherwise, are thrown into jeopardy as Karl considers leaving Alice, despite four happy years together, in order to chase the possibility of romance with Gracie in Paris.
