See Yourself in SODA* is a chance to showcase your work in the virtual exhibition space of our brand-new school at Manchester Metropolitan University opening in September 2021.

We’re looking for work that reflects your current interests and future ambitions. You can submit an existing piece of work or something created especially for the competition. Pieces submitted must be created or, in the case of existing work, adapted to fit the virtual exhibition space.

At the end of the competition window our SODA panel will select the winning projects.

Your work, our space. Show us what you’ve got.

*Please note that the See Yourself in SODA competition is now closed for entries.

Submission Requirements

Work must be submitted digitally. We cannot accept physical work. The work must be conceived for a digital exhibition; therefore, it must be created considering a unique online experience. Examples of work created for a virtual space may include video, photograph, immersive environment, sound environment, works that require an interaction with the users etc. Where content has been generated physically it needs to be scanned or photographed for upload to our social channels. Submission can be audiovisual and include still or moving images or a combination i.e., animation, film, video etc.

You must have permission to use any work that you submit to us. In submitting your work to this competition you agree to its display in our exhibition and sharing on SODA’s social media channels.
