Paul Bason

Director of Digital Innovation

Paul Bason has a background in managing complex multimedia projects for prestigious museums and galleries around the world. This includes being Creative Director for, at that time, the world’s largest audio-visual exhibit at Expo in Hannover and a BAFTA-nominated animated series for children with autism. He has produced broadcast documentaries, TV adverts, virtual reality environments theme park rides, websites and computer games. As Director of Digital Innovation at Manchester Metropolitan University, he has responsibility for building relationships with technology companies, broadcasters, agencies and other companies in the North West’s digital media sector. He has a particular interest in usability and service design and how these principles can be applied to harness technology for new approaches to education and economic growth. Paul chairs the Industry Engagement Group for SODA and is a member of the board of Manchester Digital.
